Kimber's Newborn Pictures

These last two photos are of Kimber in the going home outfit I wore in 1984 with the blanket my grandma made for me.

Keeping Up with Kimber - 7 Weeks Old

We had a busy week! We started Stroller Strides and go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It is nice to get out of the house even though Kimber sleeps the entire time. She loves to play with her development mat and is getting really good at holding up her head during tummy time. We have learned that mommy cannot drink milk or have very much dairy, it makes me very gassy and fussy at night time.

Party Arty - Momma's First Night Out

Last weekend while I was in Kansas City, I had "Momma's First Night Out" with my friends. We attended Party Arty at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Kimber and Aunt Jessica

My sister lives downtown KC about two minutes from the Museum, so my parents watched Kimber there while I was out for about four hours.

Auntie Jessica

"I ♥ (amazing, smart, funny, stunning, generous) my aunt* contact info available upon request"

 I love you this much!!

Weekend at Nana & Papa's

Over the weekend Kimber and I headed to my home town to visit Nana and Papa which are my parents. Since they live about 3 hours away, my mom came down Thursday night to pick us up and then my dad drove us to meet my husband half way on Sunday. It was hard to leave daddy for the weekend but we had a great time! So did Nana & Papa!!

She did awesome on the way there. She slept the entire three hours!! We left after I fed her so that really helped.

 GiGi rocking Kimber to sleep.

Pa rocking cousin Wyatt to sleep.
Papa playing with Kimber getting lots of smiles and giggles.

Kimber loves looking a Nana and is worn out from a fun weekend.

Keeping Up With Kimber - 6 Weeks Old

I know I say this a lot but I can't believe how much she has grown. Kimber is starting to talk by saying "argh", smiling, and recognize our voices. She is so much fun!

Post Pregnancy Shopping

I decided to go shopping at Dillards yesterday because I needed to find something to wear for an event this weekend. Now if you have a had a baby you know that shopping and trying to find something cute six weeks after giving birth is not fun or enjoyable. Don't get me wrong there is a ton of cute clothes out but you just don't feel cute buying a size bigger. Things are just not the same quite yet.

After trying on 10 dresses and finally finding one, I decided I need new shoes. A new pair of heels always gives a girl confidence. I LOVE to wear heels and would wear them all the time no matter how bad they hurt my feet.

I narrowed down my choices to two pairs and had on the following...

I decided these were perfect to go with my dress. So I turned around to take them off and the next thing I know I am on the floor in the middle of the shoe department. That's right I rolled my ankle and fell! I don't know how I didn't break my ankle. On the floor I looked around hoping no one saw and got right back up.

Needless to say I did not buy these shoes! I guess I am going to need to learn how to walk in heels again!

I will not be wearing a pair of platform 5" heel caring my daughter. WELCOME TO MOMMYHOOD! (I'm having a lot of these moments lately)

New Look

I don't know what got into me but I decided to change my hair color. This is a HUGE deal for me because I am so particular about my hair. About 8 or 9 years ago I had a terrible experience (actually several) that I became so anal about my hair. Like I said in my 2012 post... NEW YEAR, NEW ME!!

BEFORE - all black

THE PROCESS - I look really scary. In fact my hair stylist was extremely nervous. Every one kept asking what we were doing and the other customers would not stop staring. I can't believe I had the guts to do this! (this is a close I have ever been to blond...definitely not my color!)

AFTER! - I like it but I don't. I just don't know how I feel. I thought I wanted to go closer to my natural hair color but now I am thinking it's too boring. I know it will be low maintenance which I kind of need right now. Looking back at my before picture I am really missing my black hair. I just don't know what to think.

My husband really likes the new color so I guess I will it a while.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!!! Hope everyone is having a fabulous day! Here is what I am Loving...

I have been craving NUTELLA. I normally don't crave things but I had my husband bring me some over his lunch break yesterday. I have been dipping pretzels in it.

I love love love the hair color on this model! I wouldn't mind having her hair.

I have a pug so this cracks me up!

I'm thinking about having curtains like these made for my dinner room.

Of course, What I am Loving most of all....is smiles from my girl!
